As a remake of the 1984 film with the same name, Footloose features Ren MacCormack (Kenny Wormald) going from a city boy in Boston to being dumped in the small town of Bomont, where he suffers from severe culture shock. What was this culture shock? Loud music and dancing are prohibited after an accident a couple years prior killed several teenagers. The rebel in Ren decides to challenge this, helping the town get back to their roots of music and dance and can’t help but falling in love with the mayor’s daughter Ariel (Julianne Hough) along the way.
