Chocolate is said to be a magical type of food, especially with it’s “feel good” symptoms when eaten in reasonable amounts. It seems like those who have a soft spot for the sweet stuff should have a look at the Sharp Q-Pod smartphone, which is powered by Android. The phone will come with a gold color scheme overall, while part of the back, front and user interface looks like it has been dipped and smothered in half-melted chocolate. Mmmmm…
Just to prove how much they’re willing to help the sweet-toothed people out there, the Sharp Q-Pod even comes with its own “Chocobed”, which happens to be a charging dock that resembles a chocolate box. Still, despite the good looks, this phone can’t be judged by it’s outer appearance, so let’s check out the specifications.
The Q-Pod is engined by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor with Android 2.3 Gingerbread (great, more sweet sounding stuff), holding 512MB RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera, and a 3.7″ display at 960 x 540 resolution.
Since this comes all the way from Japan and is only available from carrier NTT DoCoMo, it does not look likely that it will arrive at the West. Besides, this product is limited to 3,000 units, so it probably costs more than the “sweet” deal implies.
