So, besides Barbies, Hello Kitty still reigns supreme amongst little girls, but who said that young women can’t enjoy the cute little kitty as well? And seeing how November 12 is our own very Jinra’s birthday and knowing that she loves Hello Kitty, I thought, hey, why not dedicated a Hello Kitty birthday party to her? (Of course, you can do one for your little sister/cousins as well.). So, onward ho!

(Disclaimer: The above picture you see is the card that I drew and made for her. It’s a simple pop-up card and pretty much the first where I didn’t actually cut the stands from the card, but attached it separately. I must say, it was quite fun to make! But getting the actual cut-outs to pop out was a bit difficult.)

I suppose first thing is first. We need an invitation to send out to all of you! A bit simple, but it keeps with the Hello Kitty theme. And it will be all day, so we gotta shower Jinra with lots of Hello Kitty goodies!

Now, all the planning and decorating must commence! We gotta get that place all set up. It wouldn’t be a Hello Kitty birthday party if the balloons and party decorations weren’t Hello Kitty themed, right? So, let’s put all of these balloons up! Hello there, Hello Kitty! Oh yeah, I should probably make sure that they’re tied to something so they don’t go floating away. And must string up that Hello Kitty garland with all those cute lanterns (you know, they remind me of those Chinese lanterns during Chinese New Year or so). Wait, what’s that? I have to put those balloon centerpieces in the middle of the room on those party tables? Goodness gracious. So much to do, so little time! Hopefully, I didn’t forget anything…

Oh, that’s right. I shan’t forget about those party hats and party plates. I mean, everyone attending has to wear one of those! Here, let me hand them out to you! And we got to eat delicious cake on cute Hello Kitty plates! Oh, napkins and forks. It’ll be a messy affair if we don’t have any of those. Gotta run back to the store for those now. Hmm, while I’m at it, I should grab that Hello Kitty crown that I saw on my first run. I think the birthday girl needs to wear it for her birthday, hmm? For some reason, I’m flashing back to kindergarten, where everyone wore Beauty and the Beast party hats on my birthday.

Oh no! I did forget something - the Welcome banner! People need to feel welcome to the birthday party, right? And it’s such a cute banner with the message reading “Welcome to the Hello Kitty Party”. Definitely adds a sweet touch to the whole decorating. My head’s spinning now.

Ah, finally, we can get this party started! W00t! Boy, do we have lovely treats for you today! There are Hello Kitty cake pops, cookies, cupcakes, those macaroons and other treats and that cute, scrumptious Hello Kitty cake! Hooray! Those cake pops look so cute. They have Hello Kitty’s trademark red bow! Wait, the bows are made out of a circle and two hearts! Cute! And those cookies are so small - they’d be gone in a bite! Hopefully, there’s enough to go around. Otherwise, we better starting baking them once more! I guess those delicious cupcakes will be enough for now. Looks like one fell over on its side - my bad! I must’ve been in a rush to pick up everything. I’ll eat that one and give everyone else the pretty, non-messed up cupcakes. Mmm, macaroons, more cake pops, candy bars and even Hello Kitty flavored drinks! Well, I guess they’re pink soda. And don’t even get me started on that cake. The cake! With the cute cake toppers! Quick, distract Jinra - I’m going to snag a few for myself.

Now we have to have a little fun at the party, right? I mean, I guess now that you’re a bit stuffed from all of those yummy treats, you won’t have the energy to break open the Hello Kitty Pinata we have set up for you. I guess that’s too bad for you - it was my evil plan all along to get you all stuffed so I could have all of the candy for myself! With Jinra’s permission, of course. I wonder what kind of candy we’ll discover in this pinata. Guess it’s time to blindfold people to find out!

Whoops, guess the party is over and done with. I can’t have you stay for too long! I gotta clean up (unfortunately). I mean, I would love for all of you to stay if and only if the party would clean up after itself. Or disappear into thin air afterwards. That would be pretty interesting and fantastic. Hey, Hello Kitty, can you work your magic? I guess not. Well, before you leave, don’t forget to grab one of those Hello Kitty favors off the table. It’s a thanks for you coming out here, hee! Well, being present at your computer and all. I guess virtual favors work, then.

I do appreciate you for coming out! It’s been quite a lot of fun and a blast. And remember, don’t forget to wish Jinra a Happy Birthday!

And Jinra, coming from myself and all of us here at Mixrmedia, Happy Birthday!
