The actor who plays the cold-skinned vampire Edward Cullen in Twilight Saga had just confessed that he despises other vampire-based shows that is very much similar to Twilight, according to Viva. Is Robert Pattinson dissing shows like The Vampire Diaries and True Blood?

The 25-year-old actor said, “It’s like that Coke versus Pepsi thing, and how Coke just said ‘There’s a reason everyone compares themselves to us’. Twilight was the original and everybody’s trying to copy it. They’re all just trying to jump aboard the Twilight train!”

Twilight debuted in year 2005 so that means The Vampire Diaries and True Blood are definitely out of the list of ‘copycats’ as both the shows were released a few years before Twilight.

Whatever it is, dissing on one another is never a wise thing to do. Whoever the copycat is will pay one way or another, no need to point them out.

what does it matter?  a lot of shows are copy cats and that picture of him is scary


I can understand but no need to diss them like that. Books also come out before movies and shows too. Goodness. 


It’s kind of weird that he would say that… considering vampire legends were around way before Twilight, so I’m inclined to agree with beyondwonderland on this one.
I’m not really a fan of all the new vampire-based movies and books anyway.... Twilight included.


I wouldn’t be surprised if this was sarcastic. He pretty much hates Twilight, so if this were mocking the fanbase I wouldn’t be surprised at all. <3


this is dumb....its not like Twilight was the first ever vampire book ever written....or movie ever made....there’s gonna be alot of similarities and overlaps in future vampire books and movies, that’s just the way it is.
