Jessica Biel, despite how she looks and acts now, insists that she wasn’t very popular with the opposite sex when she was younger. She claims that she was very shy, and guys mistook the shyness for being “aloof”.

The star said, “I never got chased by guys as much as people might think. I’m quite shy, so sometimes guys would find me aloof because they’d think I was acting cool when it was just my nerves. It always takes me a while to feel comfortable in social situations or when I’m with new people.”

In addition to Biel’s shyness, she also admitted that males didn’t find her pretty when she was a teenager. She stated, “I wasn’t considered attractive at all as a teenager. I was kind of an ugly duckling.”

Luckily, the feisty girl took matters into her own hands and continued, “But when I did Pilates competitions, I started to work on my appearance and body and was determined to make some of the nasty girls who tortured me feel jealous.”

It’s always enjoyable to see the real side of Hollywood stars!
