Twitter has pretty much become a way to tell just how popular celebrities are and, more importantly, which celebrities are the most popular! It appears as though Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber are the king and queen of Twitter.com.

Bieber went all the way to getting 16 million followers after his New Year’s Eve performance at Time’s Square and is definitely proud of achieving this. Still, Lady Gaga takes the cake with her 17.5 million followers, putting her at 1.5 million more than the teen star.

Katy Perry is also in the running with 13.4 million followers, and Kim Kardashian and Britney Spears are not too far behind. Plus, who knows, with the number of Beliebers increasing by the day, Lady Gaga’s Monsters might need to work hard to keep that top spot.
