Surpassing even Eminem, Nicki Minaj has 8,293,727 followers on Twitter as of this morning. Slim Shady missed her by about 20,000, with 8,271,668 followers.

In the first few days of January, Minaj had conquered as a hip-hop tweeter, but part of that may be due to her constant updates. Whilst Eminem has only sent just 175 tweets, Minaj tweeted a whopping 9,547 times since joining the site.

She is now the 9th most followed musician on Twitter, slowly reaching Selena Gomez’s total of 9.5 million followers. Lady Gaga (17.8 million) and Justin Bieber (16.2 million) are still ahead of the game, but who knows? With her second impending album ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded‘ scheduled for a Valentine’s Day release, Minaj is sure to get a surge of more fans.
