7 television characters we would love to date.

Needless to say, many of us must have fallen in love with a television character from time to time - a completely made-up-from-the-imagination character. With that said, it’s only fair to have a post dedicated to which television character we wouldn’t mind having to our self.

I myself have definitely had my fair share in make-believe romances with the made up personalities seen on television. Of course, only to go through the awkward realization that the person I’m falling for was made up by a director, and writer, and an entire production crew. Nonetheless, here is a tribute to those male characters a handful of us must have fallen for.

First, we’ll have Justin Grusso from Wizards of Waverly Place. (Also seen above)

After watching all 4 seasons, it’s only a given that one would fall for Justin’s nerdy, yet completely adorable tactics. With his compassion to help his younger sister Alex whenever she’s in trouble, it just goes to show how much Justin is willing to sacrifice in order to save the one he loves. His knowledge, and not to mention, nice body, only adds to his character of being a perfect boyfriend. We can also decipher that he has strong dedication when dealing with something he’s passionate for, such as magic. Due to his willingness to try, you know that Justin will never give up on you. Justin provides a sense of compassion and safety, which is everything you can ask for in a boyfriend. (And his knowledge and nice body are just the tip of the iceberg.)

Now we’ll move on to another co-actor of Wizards of Waverly Place, Mason Greyback.

Although he doesn’t show up in the show nearly as much as Justin, Mason definitely displays the right characteristics one would want in a boyfriend as well. With his dedication towards Alex, one can see that he truly loves her, and his willingness to protect her is just another addition! How can you possibly not find a jealous werewolf cute? His ability to ignore his werewolf instinct, as well as the rules in the magical industry just to date Alex are truly amendable.

It’s to not only move onto another character, but another TV show as well. Let us introduce ICarly’s Freddie Benson.

Once again, here comes a character that presents their complete love for another. With his love for Carly, we can see that he’s compassionate towards the one he cares for. On one of the episodes where Carly thinks she falls in love with him since he saved her life, he tosses away the deluded fantasy of the girl of his dreams finally loving him to bring them both back into reality. With that motion, we can see that he is a true-hearted person, and is willing to sacrifice his own happiness so Carly could realize her true feelings. Although his love interest later on turns into Sam, it shows us again how responsible Freddie is by accepting the truth, even if it were to be reluctantly.

With that settled, we shall now move onto another character that captured our interest, Cody Martin from Suite Life on Deck, and Suite Life of Zack and Cody.

Although Cody is undermined when dealing with his “ladies man” of a brother Zack, he doesn’t fail to stick with personality of being a “nice guy”. His willingness to always help his brother out of tight spot proves how caring he is towards the people he loves. It seems like we all must have a particular liking towards smart compassionate guys nowadays, with Justin, and Freddie as our previous love interest winners. It’s time to change the saying of “Nice guys finish last”, to “Nice guys finish first”!

After all of those typical teen show characters, it’s time to move into some more “mature” guys. First on that list would be Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl.

With Chuck’s bad boy attitude, it’s time to bring back the saying of “Nice guys finish last”. Although one wouldn’t particularly think of Chuck when dealing with the ideal boyfriend type, we’d be lying if he hadn’t tickled our fancy at least once. Chuck’s playboy type comes off as quite charismatic to many, and who wouldn’t want that in a boyfriend? (The charismatic trait, not the playboyness) Despite his ego, Chuck actually has a caring heart when it comes to his love interest of Blair Wardolf. He’s the typical “bad boy with a kind heart” all girls are trying to find - with a little twist!

Another co-actor of Gossip Girl that’s worthy of being seen as the boyfriend type would be none other than Chuck’s best friend, Nate Archibald.

Although Nate starts off as the complete opposite of Chuck, with his sole love interest being Selena, his personality soon takes a dark turn, giving off that mysterious bad boy trait that girls certainally yearn for. Nate proves himself to be a compassionate guy, only to mystify you with his bad boy deeds. Although, like Chuck, he wouldn’t be completely boyfriend ideal, he’s certainly appealing to those looking for a little excitement in their lives. He’s certainly good enough for the girls on the upper east side!

We’ll conclude this character analysis with the boy I’m sure all girls had a crush on when watching One Tree Hill, Lucas Scott!

What do we have to say about Lucas Scott other than the fact that he took part in many of our daytime fantasies? A lot more. With Lucas Scott’s off time romance with both Peyton Sawyer and Brooke Davis proves that he’s definitely great with the ladies. His choice of going towards Peyton’s goes to show that he won’t play with your heart - he’ll make a firm decision, something of which many guys need to take notice of. Although personality wise he wasn’t the best guy in the world, he definitely was a looker!
