Are you ready to watch Katy Perry’s concert in 3D?
The ‘Teenage Dream’ singer is reportedly talking with Paramount Pictures and Imagine Entertainment to create a 3D film featuring live footage.
Paramount Pictures was the backer for ‘Justin Bieber: Never Say Never,’ which as earned a whopping $73 million since its February 2011 release, and it has been reported that Perry’s possible movie project would likely be created in the same style.
In the past years, concert films have been popular, which is a good thing for Perry’s venture. In 2008, Miley Cyrus released her ‘Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour,’ which grossed $65 million. Jonas Brothers unveiled ‘Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience,’ one year later, which earned over $19 million domestically.
What do you think about Katy Perry’s possible addition to the concert film family? Would you go see it?
