Maroon 5’s frontman and guitarist Adam Levine has admitted that he was “very uncool” at school. In an interview with Access Hollywood Live, Levine revealed his school personality and style along with how he got into singing.
Levine revealed, “When I was 14 to 15, I think it was a little less cool to be in a band. I was very uncool, had disgusting long hair and shorts down to [to my knees], cut off shorts - I desperately wanted to be Eddie Vedder (see below) from Pearl Jam really badly, and I was just a nerdy, awkward kid and I was obsessed with music.”
Levine continued, “And eventually, once I realized that singing was something that girls like, which I didn’t know about really, [it became] just kind of ‘Wow. Oh my God, girls like this! I’m shocked!’ So I kept doing it - maybe for that reason.”
Well the fashion back in the days I could understand but Levine is now the frontman of Maroon 5, very cool in my books. I wonder if Levine would ever reveal a few photos of himself from school.
