Ukulele cover of ‘Super Bass’ is soothingly pleasant

For anyone feeling a bit down this morning, here’s one very cool cover of Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass” by one super adorable girl. Now I know some of you might be like “Gahhhh, can this song die? It’s been so overplayed.” But trust me, one listen and you’ll get how refreshing her take is.

Youtube user uuuuuuuukewithme (with her eight u’s, for anyone wondering) recently uploaded this cover version of the hit song that’s actually really good. Now add in the light string tunes of her ukulele and you get one interesting mix of mellow R&B-esque that is hard to stop listening to.

I really like that she really put her own spin on presenting the song. Though it was a bit weird to see her cheery smile and happy voice sing the “He a motherf*ing trip, trip, sailor of the ship, ship / When he make it drip, drip kiss him on the lip, lip” lines…but she’s still so cute.
