And it’s all because of money.
Everyone has been loving the “Hunger Games” and fans can’t wait to watch its sequel, “Catching Fire”, however, don’t get your hopes up, it might be delayed.
The Hollywood Reporter says that for “Hunger Games”, Director Gary Ross received $3 million—in addition to 5 percent of profits—to write and direct the film. But for “Catching Fire”, he is seeking a substantial increase.
“Catching Fire” is slated to hit theaters in November 2013 with “Slumdog Millionaire” scribe Simon Beaufoy working on the screenplay.
The studio hasn’t made a comment about this and no numbers have been shown. Hopefully things go smoothly so fans will be able to watch “Catching Fire” ASAP!
