Prom is a night every highschool student can dream of. It’s one of the most memorable and unforgettable night we all experience before ending the school year. However, it’s all up to you as to how you want to make this night the best night of your life. But before that, you might need to do some advance preparations to make everything perfect. Below are some pre-prom tips, which might be a bit of a help for you.

1. Know the theme of your event
Of course, before preparing everything most especially your dress, you have to know the theme of your Prom just so that you can fit in with everything and everybody in it. Whether it may be an Alice in Wonderland theme, a masquerade theme or a 90’s theme, it will all depend on the people who arranged this event.

2. Get yourself a date
A date is definitely a must have for this event because it wouldn’t be a night to remember without them. Pick someone you’ll feel comfortable with. May it be a close guy/girl friend or someone you like. Just make sure it doesn’t get too awkward on the day itself!

3. Proper exercise and diet
Instead of just slacking off in the room everyday, why not exercise a bit to lose some weight. A proper diet is a must have to. Take things a bit slowly and don’t starve yourself to death just so that you can achieve your ideal body on prom night. Eat healthy food such as fruits and vegetables, and lessen on the sweets for just a few months. It’s not good to eat too much sweets anyways.

4. Prom Dress
Besides getting yourself a date, I’m guessing you need to start shopping for a perfect prom dress! Remember! It’s not really necessary to buy a really expensive dress so that you can tell yourself that you look pretty on that night. Even dresses under $100 can make you look stunning! You really have to think things through before buying something!

However, if your planning to let a designer create a dress for you, make sure you have it all scheduled at least a month before! You wouldn’t want to panic when your dress doesn’t come on time now would you?

5. High Heels
Now that you have your dress a planned out, you now need to get some matching heels for your dress. Whether its the same color or something that goes along the color of your dress.

6. Practice walking with you heels
After getting yourself some heels, I suggest you practice walking with them especially for those of you who aren’t used to wearing one. I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t want to embarrass yourself in front of the whole crowd during that occasion.

7. Hairstyle and Make-up
Before the night itself, its better if you have decided on what you want your hair and make-up to look like. Practice creating your look a few days before the event just to see if it goes well with your dress. Or if you want, you may set an appointment with your stylist, and just tell him/her as to how you want yourself to look like.

Also, when it comes to make-up, you don’t need to put on heavy make up! Just trust on your natural beauty and just apply a little make-up on your face!

8. Manicure and Pedicure
Spoil yourself a bit and get your fingers and toes all cleaned up! Either you do it by yourself or let the salon do it for you! You can add some nail polish if you want too!

9. Get enough rest
Now every girls needs their beauty rest now don’t they? You wouldn’t want to see huge eyebags when you snap some photos with your dates and friends on the event now would you?

10. Prepare your bag
You may think that a bag can be really useless in a time like this, but your bag may actually serve as your emergency kit! Besides placing in your phones so that your parents won’t worry about you, you may want to add in some lipstick, powder, hairclips and some mints just incase anything goes wrong. It’s better to be prepared!

11. Yourself
The most important thing of all before prom night itself is to bring yourself! Without you in it your dress, shoes and everything you’ll do to yourself will be worthless! Don’t get sick and keep yourself away from danger. I’m sure you wouldn’t want to miss the dancing and mingling in the party! Also, just have fun and be yourself on that special day!
