Selena Gomez’s fragrance launch inspired by Olsen twins not Justin Bieber

Selena Gomez recently launched her fragrance “Selena Gomez” which featured kiss prints and a purple bottle. Many thought that Justin Bieber played a role in inspiring the fragrance launch but Gomez reveals that the inspiration actually came from the Olsen twins.

The singer-actress revealed, “I’ve always wanted to [create my own fragrance] since Mary-Kate and Ashley [Olsen] had their little body sprays — I loved those and was obsessed with them.”

Selena Gomez also revealed why she chose to name her first fragrance after herself. “It’s called my name, because I didn’t want to get all philosophical with my first one. I wanted it to be representing me so it’s really fun, very sophisticated and also fruity. The only way I can describe it is yummy!” she explained.

Selena Gomez had the fans participate in choosing the fragrance which has a vanilla base note, freesia heart and raspberry top note. “They’re the ones wearing it, so I trust them — their opinions and everything that they’ve done for me,” says Selena.

It’s very surprising to know that Justin Bieber didn’t inspire Selena Gomez for the fragrance launch seeing as how there are kisses and a purple color in the design.
