The Bling Ring, directed by Sofia Coppola, promises to be very different from anything that she has directed in the past. Yes, it’s still a film about wealthy people, but it is also said to be a crime caper that will progress in a unique, exciting way.

Interestingly enough, the movie is based on a true story about rich, Californian teenagers who make the decision to start a heist gang and rob the likes of Lindsay Lohan and Megan Fox’s homes. The film is mostly made up of newcomer actors, but it will star well-known stars such as Emma Watson and Leslie Mann, with Paris Hilton, Kirsten Dunst and Gavin Rossdale making brief cameos.

With the first official still released, are your expectations rising?
