Unlike during busy school semesters, summer is the perfect time to catch up on all the teen TV shows that you’ve missed. The best way to achieve ultimate success, you ask? Marathons have a 100% success rate, especially if it’s done with friends. Now, all you need is a list of shows to watch. I’ve got you covered.

Pretty Little Liars
This drama/thriller/mystery series, which has a splash of comedy every now and then, is definitely perfect for the girls, and one of my personal favorites! With constant twists and turns in the plot, it will keep the fussiest viewer entertained. Also, there’s more than enough tear-jerking, romantic scenes for everyone to enjoy.

Glee
When “music” and “comedy” are used in the same sentence, you can only be talking about Glee. This overnight success has done something that not many shows have accomplished: combined our favourite songs with unique voices and a great storyline! One episode of this glory and you’ll be hooked for hours. You’ll also need some extra space in your iPod: these songs are addictive.

The Vampire Diaries
Being a vampire has never been so sexy, so Edward Cullen can move aside. This supernatural drama may seem overdone or lacking originality, but it is not the case. Unlike certain sparkling males, this series shows the hardcore, behind-the-scenes vampire lifestyle that every fangirl craves. Beware, though, once you’re bitten, you can’t stop!

Make it or Break it
I don’t know about you, but I love any show that involves figure skating, gymnastics or just about any other incredible sport that I’ll never be able to take part in. From the determined, talented gymnasts to the jealous, undermining competition, this show will keep you on the edge of your seat, throwing popcorn at the characters that you love to hate.

Gossip Girl
This over-the-top drama is so unrealistic that you can’t help but keep watching. Yes, it’s a tale of the oh-so-miserable lives of the richest, prettiest girls of the Upper East Side. Watch as best friends stab each other in the back, boyfriends lose interest and reputations get ruined. It’s the perfect “OMG” show!

Teen Wolf
As one of the more positively accepted supernatural series’, Teen Wolf will take you on an unbelievably believable adventure. It may be gorier than many of the other TV shows you’ve seen, but it’s making a comfortable place for itself as one of the best dark comedies. It’s kind of like a horror high school!
