A 15-year-old dressed as Tinker Bell decided to tell the world about how Disney “ruined her dream.”
When she went to a Disney theme park with her boyfriend (who was dressed as Peter Pan), teenager April Spielman was asked to change clothes because she and her boyfriend’s homemade outfits looked too much like costumes employees might wear.
A Disney spokeswoman mentioned that “The costumes were disruptive to our operation and possibly confusing to our other guests, as children were asking to take photos with them.”
However, a heartbroken Spielman “just didn’t want to take off the costume.”
A video of her story can be seen below:

I feel really sorry for her, but it kinda makes sense because it might get people confused and stuff… but that’s really sad
O-O Omg Thats like. o-o No words. She looks wayy older than 15 though o-o Just saying ><
I thought the same thing too XD She really doesn’t look like 15 o.o
LOL her boyfriend in tights XD
Disney’s policy makes sense; it’s for security reasons most likely. I can’t believe she’d dress up to go to Disney if she’s 15, but I find it strange she took a pic of herself crying O_o
so messed up..
OMG i feel soo sorry for her poor girl wish i was there to hug her n give her comfort :-(

feel bad for her and it’s sad, but can relate to disney a little bit It could become very confusing for the little kids if they see different tinker bell’s

awwww that sucks, but the policy was listed…
I do feel bad for her and all the time she spent into creating the costume, but it was listed in Disney’s policy before hand, so it’s not Disney’s fault seeing as how the rule is understandable.

well, it makes sense that if she acted inappropriately as tinkerbell it would make disney look bad, so i understand why she was asked to change. I do feel bad for her though

I remember watching that on the news…
That sucks a lot, she spent so much time making it and doing her hair and doing her make-up; I felt really bad when she was crying! :/

I’m sorry, but if the girl could get into one park without any issues, then she should be able to get in others.
And if this really is Disney’s policy, then it should be enforced at ALL parks, not just when and where they feel like it.

That totally blows. But, if it’s listed in the policy...lol
