It seems that Miley Cyrus was spotted in a pool in Miami, talking to a guy. Big whoop. But the media decided to blow up the situation and try to turn it into a (mini)scandal, and Miley is defending her reputation.

As it turns out, the guy was actually her friend and part-time assistant, Cheyne Thomas. But Miley still felt the need to tweet, “So now because I am engaged I can’t have a friend of the opposite sex? Can’t have a friend help me out while I’m working alllll day? #dumb.”

Her mother, Tish Cyrus, also put her two cents in, tweeting “So sad that the nasty tabloids have to make up stories to sell their trashy mags. Cant they just leave these 2 alone and let them be happy?”

To her mother, Miley replied “@tishcyrus I love my fiancé & he loves me. All the rest is bull s—. We get to live a life of happiness no one can take that away from us!”

Miley has been in Miami working on the album that will be released before her wedding. As a Floridian, I understand all too well the heat and the need for some pool time. And it’s boring to lounge around in a pool alone! Miley did a great job of making the situation clear.

I swear, tabloids always blow things outta proportions! :/
It’s just sad how far they’ll go to sell stories/magazines!

wow thats so rude of the paparazzi...they always feel the need to blow things out of porportions !


I still can’t believe she is getting married.. anyways, though I don’t care much and congrats to her. Ahh, paparazzi always pushing things way out of proportion. -__-


That just trying to cause trouble for her, people should’nt come up with such stories, Can’t a girl hang out with a friend at the pool!


At least she didn’t do anything wrong. 


I feel sorry for her since people are trying to make things up even though shes already engaged
