Ever since his debut in 1997 with “My Way,” Usher has been a strong presence in the music scene. For the past 15 years he has never had to do a comeback because his popularity never decreased. That is why he has been crowned as the next King of Pop.

His superstar status is only rivaled by legends, like Michael Jackson. In an interview with Spin earlier this month, Usher stated:

“Simply put: Evolve or evaporate. That’s how you stick around. Evolve or evaporate. You have to be cognizant of what’s going on around you. You can’t be so bold and reluctant to be receptive to change that you don’t allow yourself to grow.”

And it looks like this (ideal) works because he has never needed a career rejunevation but still reinvents himself anyways, as can see in his latest album “Looking 4 Myself.”

He makes good songs, and he’s a good singer but he’s no king of pop!


He’s amazing, true, and I love his songs, but I’m not sure anyone can beat what MJ has already done


Looking forward to his upcoming music! :D

that’s definitely true.. especially considering how MJ was such a legend to some people.
but i like usher’s attitude towards what people think about his title “king of pop”

hmmm I like him but I’m not sure he’s the next king. I hope he comes out with great songs soon.


I like his thinking. 


Well to me, I’ve always loved his songs and him. Unlike other artists I’ve gotten bored of them but Usher is different.

I mostly agree with him. Looks like he had done a great job of evolving for himself!
