After having a smash success with her hit single ‘Call Me Maybe’, the Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen is already going back into the studio to work on her new album, this time with LMFAO’s Redfoo.
She recently gushed about their unsual way of songwriting to Billboard:
“It’s been a cool day today. I ran into RedFoo from LMFAO at the airport, and we’ve been writing a song together today. Over the phone.”
Besides collaborating on the phone with one half of LMFAO, the 26 year old singer is also collaborating with producer Dallas Austin and Ryan Tedder of One Republic.
“What I really love about music is that, despite all this craziness the creative process remains the same. And that same exciting feeling that I had before anybody knew me, when I was just beginning to work on ‘Call Me Maybe,’ is the same feeling I had today with Redfoo from LMFAO. You can sense the people who really have it are about writing that right word or that right melody to make it lift and make you feel that perfect emotion.”
Although Carly Rae Jepsen is still receiving a ton of fame with her song, she hasn’t become jaded just yet!
“Pretty much every day, there’s a moment where I’m having to pinch myself and think, ‘When did this happen to my life?’”
I guess if Justin Bieber never tweeted about her new song, most of us would have never knew such a catchy and sometimes annoying song existed in this world!
