Looks like we have a new addition to “The Voice US” as Green Day’s frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has joined the talent show as a mentor.

According to an NBC press release, Billie Joe Armstrong appreciates the show because “it’s not holding artists, it’s just giving them a little bit of guidance and direction without giving them a complete makeover”.

Green Day’s frontman also seems to be having fun working on the show as he claims that working with Christina Aguilera is “a lot of fun”.

The next season of The Voice US will commence on September 10.

I will be interested as to what kind of tips and guidance Billie Joe will be giving!
