Jennifer Lawrence, the star of The Hunger Games, is apparently making $10 million to film the sequel to the movie, “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”. Compared to the $500,000 that she was paid for the first film, this is quite a significant jump!

However, it was reported that her co-stars, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson, are not getting such a big raise, and are apparently very angry about the injustice.

Sources state that the boys were only offered $2 million for the film - $8 million less than “Katniss”. They are hoping for an increase of $3 million, or we may never see their faces in The Hunger Games ever again!

What do you think? Are they correct in asking for more?

I think it’s unfair that they are getting lower pay.
If she got a big raise, shouldn’t they?
They are all big characters in the movie.
If they aren’t going to be in the movie because they didn’t get as much as her, shouldn’t they make it fair pay?


To me it’s ludicrous that 2million isn’t enough pay, but if you look at it relatively, the amount that they are getting should reflect the profit that the movie makes. The movie is a multimillion hit, and I think their pay should reflect that. Especially since Jen is getting so much for coming back - why aren’t they?

I think it’s totally fair to ask for more. They’ll probably get it since it won’t be easy trying to replace them - Hunger Games was as big as Twilight and I don’t think the fans will take their replacements to kindly. So I guess the company will have to suck up and pay them!


I guess thats not fair jennifer getting 10 million and Josh and Liam 2 million there should be justice smile


i dont get how Josh as Peeta can get such a low pay compared to Jennifer as Katniss. Well, I mean, the movie was really successful, i have to say that they can spare Liam and Josh a better pay… :1
