Demi Lovato and One Direction’s Niall keepin’ their relationship casual

Whoa, say what? Nah, it’s not new seeing that Demi Lovato and One Direction’s Niall Horan have a little puppy love going on… or more. They publicly confessed mutual feelings for each other and went on a date after the MTV Video Music Awards back in September. Well, while they are said to be seeing each other, they are keeping it casual, at least for now, anyway.

One can hardly be surprised to know that Niall and Demi both have busy schedules to accommodate. Well, no wonder. That’s one factor that’s keeping their relationship from getting serious at a fast pace. “Demi’s told the guys backstage she and Niall are loosely dating — it’s casual but they are definitely dating, albeit long-distance,” an insider told The Mirror through MTV U.K. Being busy plus having quite a distance between the two are certainly a challenge, but not impossible for things to work out, of course.

Demi said, “He has a lot of great qualities. He is an amazing listener and makes me laugh a lot, two of the main qualities I look for.” She then added, “He knows I have a little crush on him, and we enjoy having dinner when we get the chance. We speak and message all the time.” Settling down is not a priority for them at the moment, however. “I don’t want a relationship over Skype; we are both in a place where we feel zero pressure to rush. We share the philosophy that the right one is worth waiting for.”

Well, Niall will probably have to wait a while, since Demi recently said she didn’t want any boy drama while she focuses on her work and recovery. Think Niall has a chance?
