So, I found yet another Japanese commercial that’s infinitely cuter than the American Minute Maid counterpart. I know, Zzzzzzzzzz. One commercial features Japanese kids dressed up in animal costumes, the others feature girls surrounded by randomly appearing flowers. American Minute Maid advertisers, are you paying attention? Sanrio’s Sugarbunnies is a Japanese anime series produced by Toei Animation.The series centers around and is based on the character duo (Shirousa and Kurousa) of the same name. In a nutshell, they’re alien bunnies that somehow end up on Earth and make friends with a patisserie chef. Naturally we’re all excited about Alice in Wonderland opening in theaters this Friday, March 5. These images from the film are hauntingly beautiful and captured in such a way that only Tim Burton can master. Official photos from Lady Gaga’s music video for “Telephone” have recently been released. It is reported to be directed by Jonas Åkerlund, who also directed the music video for “Paparazzi.” “Telephone” is supposed to continue where “Paparazzi” left off. Gaga is detained in a women’s prison, but Beyoncé comes along and helps her escape. Tuxedo Sam, is that really you? My Melody? Where have you been? Strangely enough, both were featured in 1987 cartoon Hello Kitty’s Furry Tale Theater. I never knew this existed, but apparently it did. It was a thirty minute cartoon where Hello Kitty and her friends performed in a theater where they reenacted well-known fairytale stories. More »
