From Omghaute: Just when you thought it impossible for fishnets to ever be considered glam, Reem Acra’s Fall 2013 Collection comes along. Acra draws inspiration Daido Moriyama’s “Tights & Lips” photography series and a recent trip to Japan. Fishnet was seen on evening gowns as part of a the bodice which was also featured red and black floral appliques and even the pumps that models were wearing. Interestingly, the evening dresses with fishnet, such as the ivory ball gown featuring ruffled tulle at the waist and floral appliques appeared to be one of many red carpet worthy options from the collection. From Omghaute: PARKCHOONMOO’s Fall 2013 collection draws inspiration from nature and glaciers of the Arctic Ocean. Lines were kept glacier-sharp and strong yet fluid at the same time, as evidenced in a white mesh sleeved sheath dress that featured a silk padding on the bodice that mimicked glacier tips and a black mesh long-sleeved shirt that bore the same pattern. For the men, the same glacier pattern could be seen padded on black sweatshirts. More »

From Omghaute: The Falguni & Shane Peacock woman is vibrant, modern and fierce. For the Fall 2013 collection, she’s inspired by art deco artist Erté. To keep the modern edge, metal peplum harnesses and cage pieces are worn over column dresses made of silk or velvet featuring a sweetheart neckline most reminiscent of the ’40s. For some looks, the shoulder is strong on a number of dresses that featured sequins or beading. Contrasting textures like velvet and lace or satin along with mesh and feathers all made for extravagantly lux looks. More »

From Omghaute: It was a mix of classic shapes paired off with the not-so-classic, but rather bold and inventive for Mathieu Mirano’s Fall 2013 collection. A black zip-up fox fur jacket was paired with a pencil skirt studded with not studs, but actual meteorite fragments. The hemlines on a dress in black or blush were assymetric, featuring only half a chiffon train. Some black fur coats featured a see-through windowed side and one particular nude sheer skirt featuring a strip of fur running down the side of the skirt that the left leg would normally find itself in.
