Only 3 words to describe a childhood obsession of mine: My Little Pony. I was all about the TV show and had a My Little Pony doll collection like no other. For those born after the 80s, My Little Pony was basically a kid’s show about magical ponies that live peaceful lives…most of the time. If not, they’re battling other creatures like trolls, witches and goblins. More »

As cute as Strawberry Shortcake is, she makes for one of the attributes to my childhood overweight-ness. Almost religiously, I would watch Strawberry Shortcake cartoons in the ’80s. Everytime I watched, I got hungry. Just look at her, how could you not? Her town was made of dessert! She lives in a cake made of strawberry! More »

When I checked my inbox today, I had an email from converse.com about their new range of shoes, Chuck Taylor All Star Sequins. I wasn’t alive during the 80’s but some of you may have been and might appreciate these Chuck Taylor shoes. More »

If you thought she was dead, she might as well have been. Let’s face it, her entire career is a joke and out the door. But Fornarina didn’t get the memo.

Fashion line Fornarina made Lohan the face of their company recently. While its good to hear she still has a job, they didn’t exactly flatter her either. Lohan appeared in one of their commercials spitting out random vocabulary while being surrounded by bad 80’s music and cheesy graphics. The photoshoot went a little better but there’s only one photo in the gallery of the world’s slowest website that is Fornarina. More »

This is the coolest Mario t-shirt I’ve seen. Although it’s a bit cheesy I’m more than happy to shell out a twenty to have this in my wardrobe.

80stees.com is supported by now retired Yankee pitcher Mike Mussina. He claims he thought the idea was funny and it is. The site features a variety of 80’s t-shirts that’ll make you nostalgic and laugh.

The site flaunts a crappy design but it’s what’s on the inside that counts right?

Graffiti artist and NDEUR designer Mathieu Missiaen says he paints on all canvases including shoes. He’s started selling his shoe line in 2007 which in return has had a 3,100% positive rating. Not too shabby eh?

All his shoes flaunt his graffiti art work and are sold on Etsy.com for $200 a pop. It pays to be unique but at least your feet will be looking glam. To say the least the shoes aren’t something you would see on the streets of New York. His style is definitely different from the regular graffiti artists as it has an 80’s twist which is hot right now.

While I love the designs on the shoe, I don’t love the shoe. The shoe style is very old school and reminds of something my grandma would wear. While there are a few good ones, I wouldn’t splurge on them over a Prada shoe. A layer of fresh paint can do wonders but they can’t hide everything; however, I have to give it up to him for trying to redefine fashion.
