Many people like to personalize their cell phones, whether it’s with rhinestones, a special wallpaper or key chains, but this is definitely a first for me!

You may love shoes and bags with an intense burning passion, but would you still feel the same way about them if they were fused together? More »

In high school when I used to sleep in class, I would blow air into my sandwich bag, seal it, and then use it as a pillow. As lame as it may have been, it still worked.
Anyways, for those of you who want to sleep in style, I introduce to you the Pilo-Pilo Mini Cushion Ring. More »

Brrr it’s getting chilly! Which means I must introduce you all to my favorite accessory for warming up and looking great in the easiest way possible.
But a story first! Working in Chinatown this summer I passed rows of vendors with fake bags and perfumes every day. I never really stopped to look and buy anything until one day I couldn’t help but stop to look at the stacks of colorful shawls they had. By the time I left Chinatown at the end of the summer I had 4 pashminas (in the boring but all-matching colors of black, brown, silver, and white). The cheapest ones were selling for 3 for $10 and for a slight upgrade in quality you could get 2 for $10. Of course the “100% pashmina” tags promptly came unstuck after I had brought each of them home, but they are by far some of the most useful and cheap accessories I have ever purchased.
So what exactly are pashminas? More »
My college suitemate recently emailed me with the following:
Subject: Every time I shower I think about how SICK it would be to have a SHOWER RADIO in OUR shower. Dont’ get me forget to get one while i’m home.
My reaction went from laughter at her poor and probably substance-induced grammar aside to astonishment at what a good idea that was. So I went to work and found this pink ladybug shower radio from Brookstone.
How cute is this thing?? It’s a bit pricey but very tempting. A hot shower is often the highlight of my day and there is nothing like pink round things to make it even better. We have a suite of three girls for next year and are sharing a bathroom so we can do whatever we like to jazz up our living situation. But even if you have to share your showers with other people or aren’t going back to school this fall, think about what a great asset a shower radio is to brightening up those 15 minutes of heaven. It would also make an especially good gift for shutting up the roommate or sister who keeps singing terrible and off-key pop tunes in the shower. Plus it’s a surefire way to keep us up to speed with what’s popular in music (something I inevitably lose track of every time I return to the college bubble and stop listening to the radio).
