For all the sexually active ladies out there, this is a discussion about birth control. If that isn’t your cup of tea just click away and come back later =)

Anyway, I may not have a boyfriend anymore at the moment but I did discover one really good thing while I was with him - Nuvaring.

When you have a steady, reliable, STD-free partner (or even if you don’t), sometimes condoms just don’t cut it because anything can happen to it. If you’re lucky you’ll realize it and be able to take plan B and suffer a full day of nausea. Let’s not talk about what happens if you’re NOT lucky.

I’ve tried the pill (specifically ortho tri-cyclen) but it makes me feel like I’m pmsing ALL the time - lethargy, depression, irritability, bitchiness, mood swings, etc. The peace of mind of not being pregnant is definitely not worth the lower quality of life. Plus I would freak out if I happened to forget to take the pill one morning and constantly check to make sure I was on the right day and it was just a hot mess.

I’m not really a chocoholic despite popular belief, I just like to indulge in it every once in awhile.

I recently received these European chocolate candies from a friend. After trying one of the white chocolate ones, I realized the center was filled with alcoholic crème. Note that I don’t drink so when my mouth was filled with bitterness, I immediately gave the rest to my boyfriend to eat.

However I couldn’t resist trying another one because the flavor was coffee. For whatever reason, this one wasn’t filled with alcoholic crème or if it was I could barely taste it over the coffee. It was definitely more enjoyable then the previous one.

I woke up early this morning only to be greeted by delicious looking baked goods! I never eat breakfast much less eat anything right after I wake up but I just couldn’t resist this time.

There were 3 boxes of goodies: 3 different types of cakes (2 of each), an apple cream cheese cup cake and a cherry cup cake. Talk about fattening but it’s the holiday season (well almost) so my attempts to stay thin are completely out the door.

While there was so much to choose from, I decided to go with the chocolate cake. To my surprise, it had little pieces of cherry inside which made it 10x better. Not only that but the frosting/cream wasn’t overly sweet which is huge for me. Frosting/cream is meant to taste good, not kill your teeth! It was so delicious; I’m even craving it right now.

My boyfriend had the apple cream cheese cup cake which had apple bits inside. It was pretty good but not as good as my cake!

So the latest update on the boy story I started a while ago is not a great one - we’re no longer together =/ However, it’s definitely not as devastating as it sounds so this is not a boohoo post. It’s actually been a good thing in some ways, i.e. giving me an excuse to do cathartic Grey’s Anatomy catch-up sessions and traipse around campus in ridiculous heels with Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” blaring through my earbuds. I love the “Single Ladies” song, and now can fully enjoy it with my new single lady status!

Anyway, if you thought you were reading a relationship-talk post, think again. This is actually a DANCE post (I just couldn’t resist the personal life update and segue into the real content). I’ve been watching two dance videos of the “Single Ladies” song: the sexy hip-shaking high heeled original Beyoncé music video and a much funkier street hip-hop choreography to the same song by Luam (probably the best hip hop teacher at Broadway Dance Center in NYC - check out her site Wild Child Nation: Love Understands All Music).

Click “more” to see the vids and commentary. And check back some other time for relationship talk (I’ve been piling up a substantial amount of breakup experience and advice).

As you may know, my boyfriend always brings me back goodies from New York. This time he brought me back Japanese food: ume onigiri (plum rice ball) and Calpico drink (non carbonated soft drink).

I’ve had plenty of rice balls in my time but I’ve never understood how to wrap one when it comes in packaging. Finally decided to follow the instructions which (go figure) ended up in success. I was so excited I couldn’t believe myself. However, the rice ball wasn’t as great. I’m not a big plum fan and I don’t think I ever will be.

The Calpico drink was much more promising. I’ve never had the Calpico brand but I’ve had the Korean version which is called Milkis. It was good to drink it again after so long even though its under a different brand.

Everyone has their own cure on how to get over a recent break up; however, it doesn’t always suit everyone. According to a blog post by AmpedAsia.com, getting over that ex can be done following these 10 tips:

10. Erase that person completely
9. Get a Hobby
8. Listen to music or watch movies
7. Tell someone about it
6. Tell yourself you have value
5. Improve yourself
4. Meet new people
3. Think about it realistically
2. Get sexual
1. Date more

While they some of them are good tips, I don’t agree with a few of them.

I’ve recently had an addiction to the cuteness of hamsters. They’re so adorable and little, how can my heart resist? I visited the pet store just to put my greed to rest and I found these little guys. They were so adorable just playing with each other and cuddling, I started squealing which caused some attention.

But looking at them brought me back to the memory of my first pet guinea. I had him for a year and didn’t quite take care of him as well as I should have. At first he was in my room but then my parents moved him out to the garage because his caged smelled horrible. He was all alone in the dark garage and he was only a few months old! I barely spent time with him or took care of him at all. I had him for almost a year before he past away from randomly popping his left eye. I never understood what happened but I cried so badly when he passed. It was one of the most tragic events of my life.

Looking back on that memory now I realized I was a really bad owner and I feel like crap for not giving him a better life. I felt so much regret (and still do) that I actually started crying. My boyfriend of course made fun of me but offered to do a candle light vigil. While that doesn’t quite fix anything, I know better now and hope that I’ll be a better owner to any/all pets in the future.

I love cakes that are well decorated and colorful; it makes eating them more fun!

While browsing in New York, my boyfriend (who knows I’m a pig) sent me photos via BlackBerry of cakes from one of the many bakeries. I was pleasantly surprised at how cute they are as I’ve never seen ones like these. While the pigs are probably symbol of me, my favorites are the tea pot and the blow fish. Hopefully next time I’ll be with him and beg him to buy me one or I can go ninja style and just buy one for myself!

This is my all time favorite cologne for guys. I found it one day by randomly smelling it while visit a local Victoria’s Secret store. I couldn’t believe the sexiness it brought to my senses as I took a big whiff. I recommend it to all my guy friends (especially the ones that smell horribly). I even bought one for my dad and recommended it to my boyfriend. He was sweet enough to buy it just for me then again he’s gotten great reactions from it so I’m sure he’s happy with it too.

This past weekend I converted another non believer Ming Min Hui. Yes, my fellow GirlyBubble blogger. While Ming, my boyfriend and I were waiting around for our subway train after she got us lost, I told her to smell my boyfriend because of the cologne. Her and my boyfriend stared at me like I was crazy but after a few more tries, she surprisingly smelled him. Funniest thing I saw all night because honestly who smells other people other than me? Afterwards she admitted that it did smell really good and would buy it for her future boyfriends. Mission complete.

You can buy yours at any of your local Victoria’s Secret in the beauty products section or online. There’s two version, Very Sexy and Very Sexy 2 (or squared), both of which smell excellent but I prefer the first one.

So if you’ve read my double yolk story, this one happened only a couple hours later.

After my boyfriend and I had eaten our breakfast, we decided to take a nap which is when we usually chat for a little bit. During the conversation, I had told him that I was going make some hot cocoa after we wake up. We both fall asleep shortly after and then wake up a couple hours later. Well as I’m heading towards the bathroom, I notice he’s making hot cocoa. I become overwhelmed with happiness because I couldn’t believe he would remember something so small especially since I didn’t even remember! It was one of the sweetest things he’s done.

The little things definitely make a difference.
