We’re nearing the final days of 2008. It’s been such a long (stressful) year but there have been some good things that came out of it. Although I wish we were still in 2007 (my Senior year of HS), I’m happy to be moving forward.

But before we do, let’s recap on the best of 2008! Of course it’s all my personal opinion.

Ellen DeGeneres and Britney Spears spent their holiday season by caroling and decorated people’s houses. Not only did they completely embarrass themselves but Ellen actually managed to out gangster Britney with her rapping skills and vandalism ways. “It’s Ellen bitch!” I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard.

With the release of her album, also came the music video. Circus is probably my favorite track so I was psyche to see what they came out with. Unfortunately, I was disappointed.

It looked more like a really long commercial than anything else. I don’t see why she had to take forever and a day to put on some Bvlgari jewelry. Also the choreography wasn’t up to par with her usual music videos. It was pretty boring and if it weren’t for the cool sparkling waterfall that we only see for a few seconds, I would can this all together.

At least the song is still good.

No nothing scandalous, but if you’ve been keeping up with the pop princess and the bi-sexual diva Tila Tequila, you’ll know that they’ve made a recent debut.

Tila Tequila wrote a book about her life called “Hooking Up with Tila Tequila”. I’m honestly not that interested in reading it since most of her life is on Myspace anyways but she promises that it’s very personal and revealing, which I’m assuming she means in a not so stripper way. She’s kept us entertained in the past but can she do it on paper?

Brittney on the other hand has finally released her Circus album. I’m pretty excited for this since I’ve listened to it on Imeem. The album seems very promising, let’s just hope that she keep this pace up. Also if you order anything off of the Britney Spears official website, you’ll get a bottle of Believe. It’s her best perfume imo and I’m a bit tempted to go for it.

I have to say, in the begining I hated Britney with a passion. Then that feeling morphed into apathy and then during and after her “episode” I started to feel bad for her. BUT NOW! NOW? Britney has gained some admiration and respect from moi. I mean, c’mon. For most of us, if we’d gone through what she has we’d have curled up in a ball and died (and we’ll never really know what she was going through). She’s totally cleaned up her life, and with Britney seemingly on the road to all things good, I thought why not give her some props with a Style Star moment? Seriously, with her new life, show, album and all, it’s totally being reflected in her everyday appearance. Hopefully those days of panty-less Britney are long gone, and we can look forward to seeing more stylish, pulled together looks like this one she stepped out in on her December 6 shopping trip to Kitson in LA.

So last night was the premiere of the MTV documentary Britney: For the Record. Sitting through the one hour show, I learned a lot of new things about the young pop star.

For starters, her dad believes that Cheese Grits is the breakfast of champions. I didn’t know if I could take the show seriously after that point but as the commercial-less show rolled on, she repeatedly expressed how lonely, hurt and limited she is. Half the time she’s explaining that the paparazzi are evil and that her lifestyle is preventing her from being a free spirit. She also touches on the past three years about her kids, Kevin and odd moments like shaving her head, most of which weren’t really clarified.

In the end, I can honestly say I feel for her and that she could use some real friends. Also her Circus video looks awesome.

Britney has given an exclusive pre-release of her newest album “Circus” to Imeem. After listening to the album, all I can say I was wrong.

While “Womanizer” and “If You Seek Amy” failed to keep me awake, the rest of the album proves impressive. The album is more personal (in a good way) than her Blackout album and goes back to the Britney we know and love. So far I’m loving “Circus” and “Out from Under”.

Is it possible she’s finally making her actual comeback? I hope so; however, I’ll make the final verdict after watching her MTV documentary “For the Record” this Sunday, Nov. 30th.

From her new Circus album, Britney Spears has released her new single called “If You Seek Amy”.

I’m very excited for her new album but listening to this single, I’m a little disappointed. Not only did the cover of Circus remind me of Christina Aguilera’s Back to Basics but the songs keep getting worse. Womanizer was mediocre at best but this doesn’t even stay in my head after 10 listens. She may be pumping out award winners but honestly, her songs are total crap.

I’m glad Christina is making a comeback too. I always liked her better anyways.

The beloved pop diva is going to release her new album “Circus” on her birthday, December 2nd. It will feature her newest single, Womanizer, which has become #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts (second time Baby One More Time).

Things have definitely been looking up for Britney as she has done pretty well this year considering her last few. Not only has Womanizer become a hit (even though it’s popularity is probably because she’s completely naked in the video), she’s also won multiple awards. What more could she ask for? Hopefully not another drink.

While I’m not completely in love with the new her, I am happy she’s back. I was starting to get tired of Rihanna.
