You know, I can’t help it if I was born with ovaries that like a good challenge. A challenge that almost always results in failure. The last few days I’ve gone all out with chick flick catch up and my obsession with Mr. Darcy by watching Bridget Jones’s Diary, Bridget Jones: Edge of Reason, and Pride and Prejudice (not the BBC version since I don’t have that much time to waste over Spring Break).

I remember back when this book came out it caused a lot of stir, good and bad…some were saying it was too harsh, and others were saying it was just what some women needed to hear. Well, at the time I was too young to care about dating, so I was just an innocent bystander. Now, they’ve made the book into a movie, and even tho I still don’t care much for the dating game, it looks like a really cute movie. It doesn’t look like a complete “chick flick” and I like all of the actors involved, so I may cough up the dough to go check it out. More »

The DVD just came out a few weeks ago and I finally got the chance to see it. You don’t know how badly I’ve wanted to see this movie especially after the series ended and I moved to New York. I never understood half the things they said about New York life until I actually moved there. Btw it’s all true.

But anyways, the movie is a great chic flick which is surprising because I never expected it to be worth watching more than once. The movie is a combination of comedy, tragedy and all that good stuff – I actually cried watching it!

Now after seeing it, I plan to dig out my Sex and the City DVD series and watching all the season all over again. More »

Since I’ve been feeling kind of pms-y and sappy lately, I’ve been craving some time to curl up with a chick flick and bag of popcorn (kettle cooked, not butter… healthier and yummier!).
