Growing up I had a pet Chow-chow, and we called him Bear because he look liked one. Well…these Chow-chows in China have been dyed to REALLY look like panda bears and I’ve found even more pictures of them since the last time we introduced to you the Panda dog — how stinkin’ cute! More »

Introducing, poo-shaped bread from China! Cute may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you take a dump, but when you see it in the form of bread with feces– I mean faces– on them, suddenly it’s a different story. So next time someone tells you go eat shit, do it gladly. More »

It was not so much the free candy that was up for grabs on the table, but more of the visuals at artist Fiona Meng’s booth that caught my eye. Since I am a fan of feminine art, I was naturally drawn to the soft, colorful surrealism of her images. Currently based in San Francisco, Fiona (who is originally from Canada) grew up being heavily influenced by Japanese manga. More »

Next time you take a walk in China or Japan, you may just come upon a panda…a panda dog that is. More »

Interestingly enough, this is old news. There have been many reported sightings of winged cats over the years (one of the earliest in 1842 by American author and poet, Henry David Thoreau) in Russia and in the United States. More »

Aside from living a life devoid of materialism, there’s another thing Tibetan monks ought to be away from to maintain a focused, spiritual Tibetan monk life. To avoid this thing, much discipline is involved. Even an average non-Tibetan monk man has problems with this. It’s the Lhasa Apso dog. Lhasa, located in Tibet is considered a holy center and…the original home of small, cute, fluffy dogs with beady eyes. More »

There’s just no escaping China. China is a force to be reckoned with and is literally, EVERYWHERE. Even my boss is Chinese. People, language, dim sum, pink digital HD camcorders — it’s like China is IN my brain waiting for the next GirlyBubble thought to be born. Looking at this super awesome pink digital HD camcorder from Chinavasion, my only thought now besides, “OMG! HAVE! WANT! NEED!” is why can’t pink be a communist color instead of red? More »
Okay, I admit right here and now that I love junk food, especially when I am in the right mood for them. I enjoy having them for snacks, and whether they are sweet or salty, anything is good to go for me. Normally, though, I prefer Korean snacks over the American ones. However, due to China’s melamine scandal, I’ve been forbidden to eat Korean snacks for . . . over a month now. Therefore, I had to turn to the American alternative. Right now my current favourite snacks are listed below. More »

Someone asked if I own the heels pictured in my Heel Compendium post. Unfortunately I don’t (some of those are really hot though so I wish), but I thought I’d showcase a few that I DO own so that I can try to use that guide to break down what’s going on style-wise with these pairs of shoes. It’s like taking off the fashionista training wheels lol.
Anyway so these are my four favorite pairs of heels, each representing a different heel type. I literally picked them out of my closet, stuck them on my window ledge, and took pictures of them in the morning light (hence all the romantic soft blue light). They’re all on the relatively newer/less-used side of my shoe collection. More »
