Leather, latex, and sassiness… What do all of these have in common? Pop divas, that is what. New music videos were recently released by some of pop music’s biggest acts–Beyoncé, Christina Aguilera, and Miley Cyrus. While Beyoncé decides to go Gaga-less and channels Bettie Page though her new alter ego B. B. Homemaker, Christina and Miley both debut the new direction they are going in with their music and image. My obsession with iamamiwhoami has resurfaced. Almost one month since the release of her last video “b”, a new one emerged today. This one is called “o”, which is a little bit longer than its predecessor and more revealing of the woman behind this viral campaign. We actually get to see her face…somewhat. More »

I have been following iamamiwhoami for the past few months and, like everyone else who is obsessed, I have been trying to figure out who is behind this mysterious viral campaign. More »

It is amazing to think two years ago, most of us wondered who the hell Lady Gaga was when controversy sparked after Christina Aguilera’s performance at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards. She got rid of her pin-up girl inspired look for something more sleek and futuristic. People screamed foul thinking she had copied the then unknown Gaga. As the saying goes, “To each his own.” However, in this case, it’s “To each her own.” More »

Every mood I’ve ever experienced in the entire history of me being me, has had at least a song or five dedicated to it. The most important mood that calls for music in my life is the, “GOTTA GET FIERCE!” mood — GGF if you will. GGF is the mood you experience when you wake up feeling like one sexy mama jama. On that particular morning that you wake up, your hair does exactly what you want it too. Your butt, you’ve decided isn’t so bad and you suspect a certain twinkle in your eye for no reason. You’ve also got a hot date that night, to top it off. That is GGF. The following songs are all about GGF and are my picks for the Top 5 girl anthems to beauty. More »

The history of Hello Kitty is both boring and fascinating at the same time. To start with, Hello Kitty has no real animated character design history. Unlike Mickey Mouse or Snoopy, she was not born out of a cartoon show or a video game. Put simply, Hello Kitty started out in the ’70s as an image put on stuff. Without any real advertising, the success of Hello Kitty skyrocketed Sanrio into a billion dollar business with half of the revenue from Hello Kitty. Still going strong today, it’s safe to say Hello Kitty’s got more than 9 lives. More »

It’s that time of the year! If you remember last week’s Fab Faves, I named Christmas one of my favorite holidays. Since it’s now December, I’m already in the spirit of things starting with the playlist of my favorite carols. While there are more than listed below, these are my top faves. Not your traditional ones but just as good!

Happy Holidays everyone! More »

From her new Circus album, Britney Spears has released her new single called “If You Seek Amy”.

I’m very excited for her new album but listening to this single, I’m a little disappointed. Not only did the cover of Circus remind me of Christina Aguilera’s Back to Basics but the songs keep getting worse. Womanizer was mediocre at best but this doesn’t even stay in my head after 10 listens. She may be pumping out award winners but honestly, her songs are total crap.

I’m glad Christina is making a comeback too. I always liked her better anyways. More »
