It is amazing to think two years ago, most of us wondered who the hell Lady Gaga was when controversy sparked after Christina Aguilera’s performance at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards. Every mood I’ve ever experienced in the entire history of me being me, has had at least a song or five dedicated to it. The most important mood that calls for music in my life is the, “GOTTA GET FIERCE!” mood — GGF if you will. GGF is the mood you experience when you wake up feeling like one sexy mama jama. The history of Hello Kitty is both boring and fascinating at the same time. To start with, Hello Kitty has no real animated character design history. Unlike Mickey Mouse or Snoopy, she was not born out of a cartoon show or a video game. Put simply, Hello Kitty started out in the ’70s as an image put on stuff. Without any real advertising, the success of Hello Kitty skyrocketed Sanrio into a billion dollar business with half of the revenue from Hello Kitty. From her new Circus album, Britney Spears has released her new single called “If You Seek Amy”.

I’m very excited for her new album but listening to this single, I’m a little disappointed. Not only did the cover of Circus remind me of Christina Aguilera’s Back to Basics but the songs keep getting worse. Womanizer was mediocre at best but this doesn’t even stay in my head after 10 listens. She may be pumping out award winners but honestly, her songs are total crap.

I’m glad Christina is making a comeback too. I always liked her better anyways. More »
