Let me start this off by saying I am not a country fan. Most country literally makes my ears bleed, since the compulsive irritation it causes makes me OCD go off and make me want to tear my ear off. I was tricked and bamboozled when my friend mentioned country pop wasn’t so bad. So I took a chance, expecting more Britney than Carrie Underwood.

I was handed Taylor Swift’s newest album ‘Fearless’ to review, expecting to book an appointment with the ER in advance…but I was surprisingly blown away.

Swift’s songs are terribly catchy - ‘Love Story’ is the song you sing along to in your car, while ‘Forever and Always’ is the upbeat maybe, maybe not Jonas Brother ballad. Songs like ‘White Horse’ and ‘You Belong With Me’ each tell their own personal unique story. There is a raw quality to her music. Though the songs sometimes may seem trivial, they are startlingly familiar at most stages of life.

Swift recently turned 19 and shows no signs of stopping. I look forward to her very long and bright career in music.
