Not really, I actually hate the cold even though I’m a February baby. I grew up in warm climates so I hate any extreme weather. Stupid of me to move to the North East!

Any who, I was shopping for food the other day and I noticed these really cute cakes. They are simple but the mixture of color and the ornaments went really well together and popped out the most compared to everything else on the shelf.

Taking noticed to the ornaments, it just goes to show that fall is here and soon after will be winter. I love the season with its changing leaves and special Starbucks drinks but I feel like summer ended too fast. I’m already missing the warm weather but for some reason I’m really looking forward to the holiday season. I’m such a girl. Ha!


The weather’s getting chillier, which means autumn is right around the bend. Many people have already made the transition from summer to fall and started their Halloween decorating early. So far I think I’ve seen a good twenty houses or so all decked out in their fake spider webs and witches. Not to mention all of the department stores are starting to stock up on candy and costumes.

Speaking of monkeys, a classmate and I had a semi-serious discussion before class about dressing up for Halloween. It started out as just random banter but during this interlocution, I realized I hadn’t dressed up seriously in probably over a decade. No, definitely over a decade. It sucks, now that I think about it because as a child, Halloween used to be one of my favorite holidays. I remember one I dressed up as Tina Turner, then another year I was a prostitute (it was my mom’s idea I swear) and another year I was Cleopatra. It was so fun getting all ready to go trick or treat with friends or to go party but it seems though that people don’t really do costumes nowadays.
