Nothing says love like, “‘Til death do us part.” However, in the case of Tokidoki characters Adios and Ciao Ciao, death has not brought them apart, but together since they are both grim reapers. Since they represent an eternal love, Simone Legno of Tokidoki and Mimoco have come together to create the ideal Valentine’s Day gift–his and hers Adios and Ciao Ciao USB drives. More »

Technology hasn’t always been chic. I remember the dark days when it was more function over form. Aesthetically, fashionable consumers had limited choices. However, those days are over, and this year has brought us technology that is not only functional, but cute and colorful as well. Here’s my list of Top 10 Girl Gadgets of 2009. More »

Never in human history has their been a year without cute. True, it hasn’t always been documented properly (I’m sure someone invented a cute wheel?), but the goal GirlyBubble is trying to achieve with the start of the GirlyBubble Year End Special is to make sure 2009 is remembered as an epic year in which girly, cute, kawaii stuff happened. That said, expect a blog post that pays tribute to 2009 in cute every day leading up to New Years Day . More »

As of yesterday, this Christmas wish isn’t the most legitimate for me. While Christmas shopping, I thought I’d actually buy myself a really cute phone charm from a local Japanese pop culture novelty store. Turns out, my new phone is not cute phone charm friendly. I shake my fist at you Samsung Eternity! More »

From Rekuru: Are you worried that your earphones are lackluster and dreary? Do you wish your headset would get off the couch and express itself more? Now your worries can slip away as easily as a cartoon character on a banana peel! Indeed, bananas, Mickey Mouse, and sushi seem to be the tip of the iceberg when it comes to eccentric earphones. Popping up all over the market are unique and sometimes downright silly novelty gear for your music-listening arsenal. More »

I feel like it’s slowly becoming my duty to inform people of the cute things they shouldn’t be eating because some sort of poisoning might result. Take Japan’s latest Docomo Q-pot Melting Chocolate phone. If the Docomo Q-pot phones had (cute chocolate) feet, it’d kick the LG Chocolate in the ass. It literally looks like a bar of chocolate! Although Q-pot is best known for its food-inspired accessories, you can’t actually eat them — the human digestive system isn’t capable of digesting. More »

In case anyone’s been wondering, I’ve been an awfully good girl this year. I’ve been so good, you should probably start thinking about what to get me for Christmas. Just in case you’re fresh out of ideas, might I point you in the direction of all things USB-friendly? Like say USB panda head speakers, perhaps? More »

There’s just no escaping China. China is a force to be reckoned with and is literally, EVERYWHERE. Even my boss is Chinese. People, language, dim sum, pink digital HD camcorders — it’s like China is IN my brain waiting for the next GirlyBubble thought to be born. Looking at this super awesome pink digital HD camcorder from Chinavasion, my only thought now besides, “OMG! HAVE! WANT! NEED!” is why can’t pink be a communist color instead of red? More »

Why settle for dull-colored gadgets when you can have pink? These days, tech and gadget companies are releasing their products in colors other than the standard average white, black and silver. Finally, they realize that there are actually females who purchase gadgets! I’ve scoured Amazon.com for the pinkest gadgets out there for our list of Top 6 Gadgets in Pink List — in no particular order. More »
Although most of our gadgets nowadays are rechargeable, there’s still remote controls and smoke detectors that are out there living off of batteries. And if you’re one of the few people who still grooves out to your Sony Walkman, then you should really check these out. USBCELL has created a rechargeable battery that kicks all the old rechargeable batteries to the curb. These little puppies come with a little flip top that conceals the little USB plug under the hood. So that means you can charge them up right at your computer or at any other USB port. To top it off, they come in super girly, super cute colors that would make you hesitate before putting the cover of the remote back on. Plus since they’re rechargeable, think about how much money you’d save on your smoke detector batteries! Head to USBCELL’s official site for more info on how you can get your hands on some! More »
For my last 2008 “Fab Faves” entry, I’m going to end with a list of my reflections this year. Despite my health going kaput this year, I’m amazed by how much had happened in a single year! I hope you all had a great year! I’m looking forward to 2009 and hope it will be better than 2008!
Girl Gamer: Expanded my game selections for the DS. In fact, the DS is the only system I played on all year long! I even played games I never would have thought to play! (ie: Princess Debut)
Proud Nerd: Discovered that I graduated cum laude with a 3.85 gpa from my uni, to which my mother heard me say it as “cula” and “goon goh goo ma” (sweet potato in Korean). More »
I’ll be the first person to admit that “girly” is not a word to describe me. I don’t like make-up, shopping, and the colour pink. I stay away from those products that makes me look like a clown, I shop like a man who hates shopping, and I like the colours blue, black, and white. However, I was into the typical “girly” stuff when I was younger. Even now, no matter how hard I try to deny most of the girly stuff in the world, there are a few things that bring out the “Curious George” in me.
Lately, a bunch of Nintendo DS games have piqued my curiosity. I’ve tried such games like Imagine: Figure Skater and was met with disappointment and a regret for even bothering to try them. However, I think through all the pains I went through trying these games geared for the younger female audience, I finally found a winner with Princess Debut. More »
