And yes, they will make your butt look big.

Yes, these leggings really do exist in real life. I was recently browsing the rack at Marshall’s and happened to notice a very similar gem (only this one was worse…it was light wash jean leggings)

For the love of all that is good in the world - WHY would you wear these? They don’t even look reasonably real. I understand the whole leggings trend probably won’t die out for another three decades or so, but this is no excuse!

I mean, how would you even wear these? Just throw on a top and walk out of the house? I think these types of clothes would better belong in the gym or yoga studio or something, rather than the classroom or work.

Non Faves? Wouldn’t that mean I don’t like them? YES. These are, in fact, some of my favorite pet peeves. If that is even possible. See, lately, I feel like I’m being accosted by all of my pet peeves at once, so why not just vent about them? Right? This holiday season sequins are the perfect way to take you from wall flower to life of the party. I LOVE this Herve Leger Sequin Ombre Bandge Dress, but it’s $2,800 (at net-a-porter.com). I also love Les Chiffoniers Sequin Leggings, but they are $815 (at net-a-porter.com). The sequin jacket from Gryphon is the perfect dress up piece for jeans, but it is still pricey at $595 (at intermixonline.com). So for a more wallet-friendly version of this season’s sparkly attire, I suggest the Petite Sequin Prom Dress, $170 at topshop.com. Also, the black Sequin Leggings, $98 from express.com are great and they are buy 1 get 1 50% off. For a fancy jacket check out the Tux Delux Gold Spot Jacket, $135 at topshop.com. Also, top the look off with a sequined hat. I just got the silver Sequin Beret, $32 from topshop.com. For a girly twist on a tomboy classic, check out the Sequin Converse sneakers, $85 at shopbop.com. Another great simple sequined accessory is the expensive degrade sequin clutch by Rafe, $550 at revolveclothing.com. I don’t suggest wearing sequins head to toe, unless you want to, then I say go for it. But if you keep your outfit simple then have one items of sequins, it will make your outfit pop, without looking like you fell off a Broadway stage.
