Aside from chocolate and attractive men, puppies are one of my biggest weaknesses in life. My puppy love started when I was a young girl. My family owned a mini poodle that we called Pochacco, named after the Sanrio character of the same name. (Surprise, surprise.) Japan, you’ve done it again. The Strapya Itazura Coin Bank has got to be the cutest piggy bank I’ve ever seen. Although, given that it’s just a box with a kitty or puppy that pops out to take your money, I don’t think it’d be fair to call it a piggy bank. Perhaps, a kitty or puppy bank? It’s a fact, some people can whistle, some people can’t. Is it genetic? Who knows. All I know is that whistling is especially cute when cute animals do it that aren’t birds. No offense to birds or anything. I think you’re cute and all, but whistling for you is just expected, yanno? To qualify as cute, we need to be kept on our toes. I don’t know about you, but this picture makes me really happy. REALLY seriously awesomely happy. It’s a beautiful family if I’ve ever seen one. A family that deserves to live in the White House 110% even if their skin isn’t white.

We all already know I pretty much have a crush on Barack (not quite, but I almost never give a damn about politicians so this is something). And for what it’s worth I pretty much have a girl-crush on Michelle. She’s the perfect first lady - smart Princeton AND Harvard grad, gorgeous figure that looks killer with the sweet dresses she picks out (how can you not LOVE this black and red combo with the criss-crossed wide belt and cute cardigan?), and totally devoted mom.

And on that note I’m mega jealous of Sasha and Malia. They’re looking super cute as well in red and black dresses to match their mom and they’re getting a PUPPY. Seriously. I have it written down here… 12:04pm Mr. Obama says they “have earned the new puppy” that he promised them. Did I not JUST post about how I want a puppy?!?

I am feeling so good about the next four years for many many reasons. But it certainly helps knowing that there will be this kind of beautiful family picture on the mantle.

This live cam of someone’s adorable puppies “Shiba Inu Puppy Cam” has been going around the web and I don’t know how behind the times I am but I just saw it today. There was an epic squeal-fest when it hit my suitemate’s inbox and then mine a few minutes later it’s THAT cute.

I’m literally keeping it in my browser indefinitely and just checking whenever I’m in need of cheering up. If I can’t have a bed of real puppies in a dorm then a constant streaming of someone else’s will just have to do!

In general, seeing these videos or pictures of cute animals makes me all warm and fuzzy inside and in a hurry to graduate so I can get my own place and my own furry little pet (I’m thinking a kitty because I love cats and they’re so much easier to take care of).
