I like to read quotes to gain insight about how other people view the world. The ones I am inspired by are the ones I try to apply to my own life. I look up to other women who are strong individuals and embrace being female. What I learn from them is that it does not hurt being feminine while kicking ass at the same time. More »


I may not be girly in nature, but I would like to think I know what’s “beautiful” and what’s not. Everyone has their own definition of beauty; I know I do. My definition may not be the same as yours, and that’s okay! Diversity amongst us human beings is what really makes our world beautiful.

As sappy as this all sounds let me get to the point. Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but here are a few actresses from the past (the golden era of film?) that I consider to be beautiful in a classical sort of way. These actresses are all from my parents’ or grandparent’s generation, but I think because of their classical beauty, they will transcend through all of time. Not only are they known for their beauty, but they are also known for their acting skills. All of these women are on the American Film Institute’s list of greatest stars. More »
