Hello Kitty is back once again, debuting a new 3D Movie Collection from Sanrio. Seems like our sweet and adorable figure is getting a bit more technology-friendly, with an iPhone 4 case and laptop sleeve included in this batch, decorated with the fun and colorful design. In continued support to those affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, Sanrio has designated Thursday, March 31, 2011 as a “Day of Donation.” On this day, Sanrio.com and participating Sanrio Boutique Stores across the United States will donate all net proceeds to the American Red Cross to benefit Japan earthquake and Pacific tsunami relief efforts. Sanrio debuts a new Biscuit Collection that pairs our favorite Hello Kitty with a sweet treat. A variety of items sport this new design, though my favorite has to be the watch and the oh-so-fluffy and hugable cushion plush. On November the 13th the Nara Prefectural Track and Field Association held a press conference at the head offices of the Nara Newspaper group to announce that with support from Rikuren director Yohei Kono, it will start a new marathon beginning in 2011 as part of a celebration of the 1300th anniversary of Nara’s status as the ancient capital of Japan. Sanrio has recently partnered with smart USA to offer vehicle wraps featuring Hello Kitty for the smart fortwo. The vehicle wraps are available through smart USA’s smart Expressions, a customization program that was launched in July.
