In my tween years, Hannah Montana didn’t exist and my family had yet to discover the joys of the satellite dish. Instead, I resorted to a lot of daytime talk shows for after school entertainment. I watched all the classic ’90s daytime talk shows; Jenny Jones, Ricki Lake, Maury — I watched it all. It was always the “Geek to Chic” episodes I enjoyed most. What’s not to fancy about the idea that someone average could look…not average? Although those talk shows are long gone, the idea of the make-over movie has yet to escape Hollywood.
