That’s what Associated Press’s Samantha Critchell is saying on Yahoo! Buzz. According to the article, Pantone Color Institute’s executive director, Leatrice Eiseman states that yellow is “the color of the future” because it reminds us of “warmth, sunshine and cheer — all the good things we’re in dire need of right now.” I kinda have to agree. Yellow does make me happy, that is, if it’s the right shade. Pale yellow tends to make me think of pee….lol but that’s just because I’m a bit unhinged……

Non Faves? Wouldn’t that mean I don’t like them? YES. These are, in fact, some of my favorite pet peeves. If that is even possible. See, lately, I feel like I’m being accosted by all of my pet peeves at once, so why not just vent about them? Right? I mean, it takes one to have the other, so letting you girls and guys know what gets my goat isn’t that far of a stretch. I promise this isn’t going to become a regular rant, lol promise.

In honor of the 90s Party that’s going down this Friday; I thought that this week, I’d do my ‘Fab Faves‘ on my favorite fashions from the 90s. Although I was still a kid during the 90s, I was very fashion minded (or so I thought). Yep, I rocked my jelly shoes,  British Knights, and my L.A. Gear sneakers (with the double laces) and I also did the double scrunched sock thing. Not to mention, I always within an arms reach of my LipSmackers which I believe may have been the start of my lip gloss addiction. Anywho, here’s a few other 90s nostaglic fashion trends that still love!

I know this girl who wears one color straight for a month. I mean, her whole wardrobe from head to toe will be that color. Like say in the month of October, she chooses to wear yellow. EVERYTHING FOR THIRTY-ONE DAYS WILL BE SOME SHADE OF YELLOW. I’m talking, shoes, nails, tops, bottoms, dresses, everything.

It may sound weird, but it was actually kind of cute. Like I remember one outfit she wore during the summer months (white was the theme) she would accent her look with cute little accessories that would make her “canvas” pop. Not to mention that it sped up the time it took for her to get ready in the morning, but it was so unique and refreshing. See, here in NYC, trends are more like epidemics. Once it catches on, it tends to get over done to the point of nausea, and since she did style her own way, it really made her stand out.

I really admired her for that, because it’s like if you don’t follow the fashion rules you’re a leper. We’ve all heard the mantras: Skinny jeans are in! Skinny jeans are out! Purple is the new black! Black is the new black! Give me a break!
