If you like twitter and fashion, this might just be the thing for you. TryMyFashion is a free microblogging service modeled on twitter that allows users to post small (140 chracters or less) notices about what you’re wearing. You can also subscribe to the notices of your friends, or other people you’re interested in, and follow them. The goal? To “create a fun and safe environment where a community of users can share their fashion on a daily basis, connect with other community members about fashion, and gain new fashion ideas.” Basically, Facebook status meets wardrobe sharing.
TryMyFashion hasn’t officially launched yet so they’re working through some kinks, but it’s interesting to see that all the mass-scale social networking tools we’re used to seeing (i.e. Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, FriendFeed, etc.) are becoming increasingly niche-oriented. It’s also getting easier and easier to stalk and be stalked - right down to what color underwear you have on.
Personally I don’t plan on being overly TMI, but you can follow my fashion tweets at my TryMyFashion page. Right now I’m wearing a college sweatshirt and fleece pj pants. It’s cold in New Haven =P
